The Longevity Diet & Lifestyle®
By Robert Nelsen - Cancer Survivor
A typical day on the Longevity Diet:
Breakfast: Upon rising, I take one serving of AIM BarleyLife®, either in capsule or powder form. (I take the powder dry, dissolving it in my mouth, or mix it in a few ounces of distilled water at room temperature.) I do not eat cooked food or foods containing fiber at this meal, as these hinder the cleansing process while my body eliminates accumulated toxins.
Mid-Morning: I will have a juice or smoothie recipe selected from the the Big Book of Juices and Smoothies or I will have a breakfast recipe selected from the McDougall Cookbook. About 30 minutes later I use AIM Herbal Fiberblend as directed for optimal bowel function.
Lunch: Before lunch, I have another serving of AIM BarleyLife®, taken as at breakfast. Thirty minutes later, I have a raw vegetable salad, soup or stew selected from the McDougall Cookbook. Fruit is limited to no more then 15% of my total daily food intake.
Mid-Afternoon: I will have a juice or smoothie recipe selected from the Big Book of Juices and Smoothies. If juice is not available, I will have a serving of some carrot or celery sticks.
Dinner: Before dinner, I take another serving of AIM BarleyLife®, taken as at breakfast and lunch. Thirty minutes later, I will have a main dish selected from the McDougall Cookbook.
Evening: Later in the evening I often have a piece of fresh juicy fruit or a glass of freshly extracted apple or pear juice. Before retiring, I take Aim Proancynol® as directed.
To ensure that I get the essential fatty acids my body needs, I also have one tablespoon of UDO's Choice Preferred Oil Blend. I either have this on my salad or straight out of the bottle.
I take a B-12 supplement 3 times each week to ensure my body is getting enough B-12. It is important that the B-12 is derived from a plant source.
Exercise is also an essential part of my program. I do at least one hour of vigorous exercise daily (walking or rebounding). Additionally, I try to get some sunshine on as much of my body everyday.I meditate each morning and right before I retire.
* The reason I supplement my diet with AIM BarleyLife® is that our food today is being grown for the most part on very deficient soils that often lack all the nutrients my body needs for building new vital, strong and healthy vibrant cells. Aim BarleyLife® is grown organically and contains the widest spectrum of nutrients available today from a single source that I am aware of. It is also loaded with enzymes. I consider it the single most important thing I put in my body each day and always consume at least 3 teaspoons of it a day.
Another product I find very beneficial is Aim Herbal Fiberblend®, for added fiber, preventative maintenance of the colon and insurance against parasitic infestations. I take one tablespoon mid-morning.
When I had prostate cancer I consumed up to four 8-ounce glasses of carrot juice each day. If I had a serious medical problem today I would consume up to three or four 8-ounce glasses of carrot juice each day in addition to my three or four teaspoons of Aim BarleyLIfe®.
The reason BarleyLife® and carrot juice are so important to me are:
1. Processed foods have practically no nutritional value.
2. A large percentage of the nutrients in foods are lost in the digestion process with only 1 to 35% of nutrients reaching cell level, depending on the health of the digestive system.
3. When vegetable juice or BarleyLife® is consumed, up to 92% of the nutrients reach cell level. This is because the pulp has been removed and thus no digestion is necessary. Raw Vegetable juices are the fastest way to nourish the cells and rebuild the immune system and essential organs.
Four nutrients that are very strongly correlated with cancer-prevention - Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin E and Carotene. Selenium, Chromium and Zinc are also "friendly nutrients" in relation to cancer prevention/treatment.
I avoid all alcohol, caffeine, and sugars in all forms. Sugar feeds cancer tumors.
The bottom line: Sick cells can be changed into healthy cells through good nutrition.
