Living With Cancer Support Room

Welcome - You are not alone...

A diagnosis of cancer can cause a multitude of reactions, some of which include fear, anxiety, isolation and stress. Sleep may become difficult, you may feel hopeless or helpless and it may be difficult to concentrate. Your experience, or that of a loved one, is a process which can be helped through counseling.

Few are equipped to cope with it alone. Patients and caregivers are rarely prepared for cancer’s impact. Talking can be an invaluable tool in negotiating the cancer journey.

Knowing where to turn and planning for what lies ahead can be as emotionally taxing as it is physically demanding. However, studies suggest that a positive psychological outlook can aid in the physical battle, providing control in an otherwise uncontrollable situation.

During this challenging time, many seek counseling from caring, empathic professionals to ease their anxiety. Using tools, knowledge and experience, patients and caregivers regain control by talking through the practical and personal implications of cancer. These issues may include health insurance, employment and family roles as well as body image and medical treatments.

Your Living With Cancer Support Room is a free-of-charge online cancer counseling and resource center providing patients and their caregivers with a better chance to beat cancer by helping them to take informed action. Free access to professional counseling is available from the time of diagnosis through treatment and survivorship. Our solemn vow is “what is said in the room stays in the room” so you can relax knowing that your privacy is assured.

No one needs to cope alone.
